Baby bedding sets
71If you're having a baby, you're probably going to be looking for a baby bedding set very soon. Luckily for you, not only do many retailers offer baby crib bedding sets, but so does the internet! With the venerable bed-in-a-bag, shipping is very reasonable as well. The problem, as with most things that you can buy online, or anywhere else for that matter, is picking the one that you want. Does your nursery match the rest of the house? If so, maybe you should look for a baby crib bedding set that matches your own bed. This would be a great way to compliment the colors that your home already has without straining the brain to come up with a new color scheme. On the other hand, you'll want to look at baby nursery bedding sets that match the color scheme of the nursery if you, like so many others, decided to decorate that room in a completely different way than the rest of your home.
Baby Boy Bedding Sets
Perhaps you waited to look at baby bed sets until you knew the sex of your baby. Good idea! There are lots of different types of baby boy bedding sets out there. Pretty much anything blue goes just fine, obviously, but there's also space ships, race cars, dinosaurs, and air planes, among lots of other options. There's also nothing wrong with regular solid colors such as black or red, though there are some who say that red is a bad color for a bedroom.
Baby Girl Bedding Sets
When looking at baby girl bedding sets, pink and white are often seen as good choices. Anything classically feminine or gentle works as well. Although you may be tempted to purchase something that follows the latest fad or pop icon, don't! By the time the baby is born, and surely before she's done with her crib, that icon could easily be on the way out the door. Although that may not seem like an issue right now, as you can always just buy a new bedding set, babies have a way of draining the bank account.
Cheap Baby Bedding Sets
Maybe you're not waiting to see what sex the baby is going to be. Or, even if you are, it may be a better idea to try for something unisex. Most cheap baby bedding sets are pretty generic and don't really point to one gender or another. If you're financial situation seems to change with the seasons, and you're suspecting that another baby may be occupying that crib at some point or another later on down the road, then you'll want to go both cheap and generic in design. Babies aren't terribly destructive on bedding, so durability isn't much of a worry.
Do it Yourself Baby Bedding Sets
If you're feeling particularly frisky, you could try making your own baby bedding set. I don't know that I would attempt it personally, but there's no reason not to give it a shot if you're good at sewing. If you're not, there's plenty of help online, as always. The video below shows you how to use a quilt sewing machine.

These are all really cute crib baby bedding set options. We spent FOREVER looking for the right one because I wanted the perfect neutral set. But then I changed my mind when we decided to find out if she was a boy or a girl. When I realized it was a girl, it was ON and I just wanted pink pink pink! pink!
